It is easy to claim to be wise, to boast of knowledge, to produce diplomas and certificates, but that is not the same as being truly wise. James says that true wisdom, the kind that comes from God (3:17) when we ask him for it (1:5), is demonstrated by good conduct (3:13). Instead of generating selfish ambition (3:14), it produces meekness, gentleness, and peaceableness, the opposite of worldly living (4:1). Are you a worldly person, your life enveloped in strife, arguments, and controversy? Or is your life producing a veritable harvest of righteousness (3:18)?

God has graciously given us a very busy month in Ohio and New Hampshire with family. We were able to visit one of our supporting churches, Salem Bible Church, and attend the wedding of a nephew, Joshua Peeler. Lord willing, we will return to Chile next Wednesday, bringing Nia Wesley, a short-termer, along with us to stay in Antofagasta for a few weeks. It’s been a blessing to interact with many faithful partners with us in the advance of the gospel in northern Chile. We appreciate your prayers for us.

Please pray for us to demonstrate wise meekness by our conduct. Please pray for the Iglesia Berea in Antofagasta. We are eager to get back to our dear brothers and sisters in Christ for whom we pray constantly. We are looking forward to showing Nia what God is doing in Antofagasta.
